Fabregas Lauds Mane As The Best Player In The Premier League
One of world’s best midfielders, Cesc Fabregas has elected Sadio Mane as the Premier League’s best player.
The former Barcelona star who also played in London for Arsenal and Chelsea says the Liverpool forward is the best in England’s top-flight at the moment.
In a question and answer session conducted via social media space, Twitter, the Spanish midfielder who now plies his trade in Monaco when asked to pick his best player in the Premier League said: “Mane for me.”
Sadio Mane, 27 enjoyed huge success with both club and country in the past season and has already found the net on 11 occasions this term, as well as provide six assists in the Premier League. The Senegalese forward is instrumental to Liverpool’s position this campaign, with the Reds opening a 13-point gap atop the Premier League standings.
Fabregas who played for Barcelona as well as English clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea was also asked to mention what was his most challenging League. The Spanish midfielder listed the Premier League as his toughest ever when he said: “Premier League by far!”
He was also asked who his toughest midfield opponents were. Fabregas mentioned Liverpool’s Steven Gerard as one of them as well as Bolton’s Fabrice Muamba. He said:
“Fabrice Muamba when he was at Bolton. He was man marking me for 95’ and he even would follow me to the toilet if needed. I ended up scoring every game though.”

The illustrious midfielder who was well lauded for his creative abilities lifted the FA Cups with both Arsenal and Chelsea during his playing days. He confessed to being upset with the way the prestige of the club has reduced over the years.
“There are so many games for the top teams nowadays that managers use the FA Cup to make changes and that’s a bit sad but we would all do the same when you play 60+ games a season,” the former Spain International said.
