Usually, candidates are advised to score a minimum of 180 in their UTME exam to qualify for admission into the Federal University, Wukari. Therefore, candidates who score at least 180 can participate in the post UTME screening of the institution. And consequently be considered for admission.

Typically, the first criteria to being considered for admission to any institution is to meet the UTME cut off mark for that school. So for FUGUS, the UTME cut off mark is set as 160. Generally, for candidates to gain admission into the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State. First, they have to meet the UTME cut off mark. Secondly, they have to undertake the post UTME screening of the institution and pass that too.

Finally, students can choose to pay for accommodation if they wish to stay in the hostel. The hostel accommodation fees is N50, 000 for new hostel. While it is N10, 000 for old hostel.
