Femi Fani Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation and legal practitioner has slammed the Nigerian Bar Association, an umbrella for lawyers in the country, on it decision over the suspended Chief Judge of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen.

The NBA following its National Executive Council meeting yesterday reached a decision to boycott the courtroom for two days as a show of support for Justice Walter Onnoghen.

It was held that lawyers all over Nigeria boycott all courts in the land for two days starting from the 29th day of January, 2019.”

The decision of the Nigerian Bar Association didn’t go down well with Femi Fani Kayode, who reacted and wondered why the body will only embark on just two days boycott of courtroom for the suspended CJN.

Femi Fani Kayode termed the decision reached by the NBA as a shameful one and not a reaction to tyranny and treason.

The former minister in his tweet wrote: “The NBA say they will boycott the courts for two days in reaction to the illegal removal of CJN Onnoghen!

Is that what they call a protest and a reaction to tyranny, treason and a political coup d’etat? Shame on them. Buhari must be smiling by now. May God help Nigeria!”

Prior to this, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP had suspended it presidential campaign for 72hours in a show of support for the suspended CJN, Walter Onnoghen.
