FG Declares Wednesday Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, May 29 2019,  a work-free day, to commemorate the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for a second term in office.

Bashir Ahmad, the Personal Assistant to the president on New Media aide, in a tweet on his Twitter handle said that the public holiday was declared by the Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau.

“The Federal Government declares Wednesday, May 29, as work-free day to mark the 2019 presidential inauguration, the Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd) made the declaration on behalf of the federal government,” he tweeted.

Some governors across the country would also be sworn-in on Wednesday.
