Information reaching iDONSABI indicates that a fire outbreak has disrupted flight activities on Saturday evening at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, Rivers State.
It was gathered that the fire on a runway prevented a Max Air flight from taking off why an Arik flight had to return to base.
According to reports, a Dana flight coming from Abuja had to return to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, as it could not land due to the fire that was said to be from the bush surrounding the area.
This led to a closure of the facility due to smoke. It is expected to be reopened within a short period.
More to come.
