Today, May 5 marks the 9th year Nigeria lost former Pres. Umaru Musa Yaradua, who happens to be one of the best Presidents the country ever had.

In a remembrance of the memories of Umaru Musa Yaradua, top Nigerians politicians have been making good statements about the late President.

The likes of former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, former Vice President, Alh. Atiku Abubakar, Senator Shehu Sanni among others have made some statements about the late president.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, who happens to be the Vice President to late Umaru Musa Yaradua in a statement about his former boss described him as a selfless leader with national interest above personal and ethnic gains.

Jonathan said, “On this day nine years ago I lost a friend, colleague, brother, and boss, President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. He was a selfless leader who placed national interest above personal and ethnic gains.
Former Vice President and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar in his statement said the country lost a patriot and a compassionate leader.
Alh. Atiku Abubakar said, “This day, 9 years ago, Nigeria lost a patriot and a compassionate leader in President Umaru Yar’Adua. May Allah SWT continue to shine His Noor on his face. Amin.”
Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sanni in his statement described the late Umaru Musa Yaradua as a honest man and humble visionary.

Sen. Shehu Musa said, “President Umaru Musa Yar’adua died on this day nine years ago.He was a honest man,a true democrat,respecter of the rule of law and a humble visionary.May Allah forgive his soul and grant him Aljanna Firdausi.Amin.”

Umaru Musa Yaradua died on the 5th of May, 2010 and he was Nigeria’s 13th President and also served as the Governor of Katsina.
