Gennaro Gattuso Backed By AC Milan Owners To Continue As Milan Gaffer

Gennaro Gatusso is set to remain as AC Milan gaffer after Milan’s owners, Elliott Management threw their weight round the club legend.

Gattuso’s job seemed to be on the line after a poor start to the season that saw them win only one of their first five league games. It became apparent that the club legend could be on his way out of the San Siro after being dumped out of the Europa league in the early stages of the group stage despite little improvements to their football in the league.

However, recent happenings and performances by the red and black striped boys have ensured that Gattuso remains at the helm of affairs at Milan.

A stretch that saw them go undefeated in their last eight games has placed them in fourth position having fended off Lazio and going on to vie for third place against core rivals, Inter Milan.

The former AC Milan defender has proved all his skeptics wrong and prove beyond all reasonable doubt that he is capable of managing a team like Milan.

He seems to be the new hero at the San Siro and is being backed up by the fans and the management after leading them to qualify to the Champions league for the first time in so many years.

Piatek, Bakayoko and Paqueta are players that have shone the most in recent months for the Rossoneris securing the position for Gattuso whose position was formerly under threat.

His players have impressed in both the attacking and defensive departments. New signing from Genoa, Piatek has been particularly impressive with a goal ratio of a little over 1 since joining Milan.

Their backline have also earned lots of praises after letting only four goals into the goal in the last 11 matches.

Gennaro Gattuso’s contract should end in 2021. However, he could earn several contract extensions if he impresses the power that be at Milan.
