According to a new report, the Lagos State Government led by Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has assured Lagosians that work will commence on the Lagos-Badagry road in June.
The report made it known that the Governor stated this when he went on an inspection visit to the Lagos-Badagry express road alongside his Deputy Gov. Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.
The Gov. hinted that work will commence on the road from Mazamaza to Okokomaiko this month.
He added that talks are already in place with the contractors to resume construction once the financial needs are met.
The Lagos state Governor also disclosed that it would cooperate with the Federal Governmen led by Pres. Muhammadu Buhari to find a lasting solution to the deplorable state of the Okokomaiko, through Agbara to Seme Border axis of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

Gov. Sanwo-Olu has assured Lagos residents that rehabilitation work will commence on Lagos-Badagry Expressway from Mazamaza to Okokomaiko this month.
The Governor who announced the rehabilitation during an inspection visit to Lagos-Badagry Expressway, said talks are ongoing with the contractor to resume work on site once the required financing is in place.
In this month of June we shall be moving to site. Work will commence on this road, so all the T’s and I’s will be done this week so as to move to site immediately- Gov. Sanwo-Olu.
The Governor also disclosed that the government would partner with the Federal Government in finding a lasting solution to the deplorable state of the Okokomaiko, through Agbara to Seme Border axis of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
