Gunmen In Nasarawa State Kill 3 People In Fresh Attack

Three people have been reportedly murdered by armed bandits in the early hours of Friday, January 25th, in Tudu Uku, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

In addition, the attack also witnessed one military man and two Civil Defence officers being injured by receiving gunshots.

Also, a lot more than seven houses, 10 cars and four motorcycles were burnt to ashes during the attack in Tudu Uku, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The security operatives who were seen injured were taken to the Federal Medical Centre where they are presently being attended to and receiving treatment.

The Chairman of the Toto Local Government Area of the state identified to be Nuhu Dauda confirmed the nature of the attack and lamented the attack that resulted to the killing of several persons with properties estimated at millions of Naira also destroyed in the process of the attack.

According to Nuhu Dauda, he stated thus:

  “I received a  report this early morning that Bassa militias attacked Tudu Uku in Toto Local Government Area of the state killing three, one of whom was  beheaded. Among the killed persons was a mad man.  A child is still missing.  Not less than seven Houses and vehicles among others  been burnt”.

The Chairman, of the Local government area that experienced the attack, Nuhu Dauda, while calling for the help of the security operatives, assured the people of his continued collaboration with different agencies of government as well as the security agencies to make sure that permanent peace was restored to the Local Government area.

The attempts made to get the State Acting Police Public Relation (PRO) identified to be ASP Ismail Usman for confirmation of the attack was not successful as he could not pick calls at the time when the attack was being carried out in Tudu Uku, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
