Harry Kane is confident of his return to fitness just in time for Euro 2020. The Tottenham striker is hoping to return sooner than expected for the Lilywhites to get fit for England before the start of Euro 2020.

According to the talismanic striker, he would only be out for a few more weeks and should be fully fit to play full part in the European championships.

The English man has not featured for his North London side since he limped off the pitch with a hamstring injury in their New Year’s day loss at Southampton.

Following the injury, the 26-year-old underwent a surgery, sparking up concerns that he might be pit for the remainder of the season. However, Spurs boss, Jose Mourinho has given a positive update about the forward.

Mourinho revealed that the player could be back with the Lilywhites ahead of schedule while former Tottenham manager, Redknapp says the player could fire the club into top four.

England have also been keen to see their captain back on his feet, and Kane is optimistic he would be fit before the Euros.

“In my head, I am definitely at the Euros,” he told the Evening Standard.

“Unless something pretty drastic happens between now and then, I’ll be there. I’m still not back training with the first team, but I’m working hard in the gym, I’m getting stronger all the time.

“We’re talking a few more weeks, and I’ll be playing again. I don’t want to make a prediction for which game I might be back, but I am hoping somewhere between the start and the middle of April.”

England in the UEFA Nations League were pitted in the same group with Denmark, Belgium and Iceland.

England boss, Gareth Southgate was in attendance and commented on the progress of the striker, stating that he had followed his recovery schedule to the latter.
