Have Never Heard of A Citizen Wanting to ‘Greet’ President By Charging At Him, Fani-Kayode Says
The video of a young man that was alleged by some to have the intention of charging at President Muhammadu Buhari in Kebbi state during his visit is till generating several reactions.
According to the Presidency, the young man had requested to greet the president which was turned down as part of the security protocol. But he wanted to get the handshake by force.
In the video, it appeared the man was charging at the president with the way he moved towards him before being stopped by the security and the people beside him.

His charging at the president didn’t look like he wants to harm him either.
Tweeting over the reaction of the Presidency on the situation, Fani-Kayode wrote: “I don’t know what that young man had in mind but this is the first time that I have ever heard of a citizen wanting to “greet” his President by charging at him. Must this Government lie about everything? Must they put a spin on every event? Do they think that we are fools?
“And by the way, if all he wanted to do was to give “his President a handshake” because he was “very excited” to see him then why shoot the poor boy in the leg?”, he asked.
