History of Katsina State Nigeria
Katsina State is a state in Nigeria that is situated in the northern part of the country. The capital of Katsina State is Katsina which is the largest commercial City. It is a Muslim State, mostly populated by the Hausa people. The Two Major ethnic Groups are Hausa and Fulani. The state has borders with Kano state (East), Sokoto State (West), Kaduna State (South) and Niger Republic (North). The state is referred to as ‘’ Home of Hospitality’’. The president of the federal republic of Nigeria (President Mohammed Buhari) is from a place called Daura in Katsina state.
History of Katsina state
Katsina state was carved out of the old Kaduna State on 23rd September 1987.
The state was discovered by Kumayo, before the Fulani conquest was an important seat of learning and commercial Business for trans-Saharan trade.
Katsina state is made up of two Emirates which are part of the seven Hausa kingdoms.

Economy of Katsina State
Katsina State is majorly into Agriculture and rearing of Animals. Cattle rearing is mostly for the Fulani. Agriculture (crops Cultivated) includes brown Beans, groundnuts, rice millet and groundnuts. Katsina capital is a commercial city, trading flourishes well and there are many markets such as Dandume, Kokami, Mai-Adua International, Sheme cattle, Funtua Malumfashi and Magama broder markets.
