Huddersfield Town Vs Manchester United EPL 05 May Preview

Manchester United make a trip to John Smith’s Stadium where they take on Huddersfield Town knowing fully well that only a win could bolster their chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions league competition.

Huddersfield Town

The Terriers can see themselves playing in the Championship next season but Jan Siewert would like to see an improvement in his side at least, having recorded one of the worst results ever in the Premier league era rivalled only by that put forward by Derby County.

In fact, they have conceded fifteen goals in their last four matches and have been worse than woeful. Their squad offer no promise but their biggest concern will be keeping their visitors at bay and avoiding conceding an early goal having conceded goals against each of Watford and Liverpool within just five minutes of those encounters.

They offer close no threat in front of goal with their highest goal scorer, Karlan, hitting only four all season with all of those coming in his last 11 appearances.

Manchester United

Solskjaer has spent much of his time fending off questions about his underperformance since his appointment as manager of the club on a permanent basis.

There seem to be many questions hovering around the players’ futures as well, top amongst them being Pogba and De Gea. The Spanish goalie is clearly no longer who he used to be with his howler against Chelsea forcing a 1-1 draw.

The Norwegian gaffer will be expectant that his side improves from their run of just two wins from their last seven outings. Having questioned his players’ commitment, the United legend will need his players to prove their hunger and desire for their last two fixtures.

Manchester United haven’t put up an impressive performance since their win against Fulham back on the 9th of February.
