Hudson-Odoi Agrees Five Year Deal With Chelsea

Chelsea have been handed a huge boost going into the 2019/2020 campaign with Callum Hudson-Odoi agreeing to ink a five year deal worth £100,000-a-week.

The teenager was poised to move to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window but was convinced to stay put at the Stamford Bridge.

The German giants made a number of bids for the winger, the last of which was a £34 million bid for the teenager. The Bavarians further made it clear that they have sustained their interest in the youngster as his contract gets into its final year.

In spite of the growing interest, Hudson-Odoi has now committed his future to Cheslea following the appointment of Frank Lamapard as the club’s new manager.

Hudson-Odoi, 18, has always prioritized playing time while making a decision on his future. Frank Lampard has now made a move based on this premise to convince the England International both publicly and privately that he is of key importance to his plans at Chelsea.

The England International might be commanding a huge salary at £100,000 for a teenager, but the move will be seen as an essential one for Chelsea who have already lost Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer and are pegged down with a transfer ban.

The 18 year old will also be joined by academy graduates in Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount who are looking to sign new deals. Lampard is thought to be committed to integrating these youngsters into his team while the club is constrained by the overhanging FIFA transfer bans.

Willian and Pedro are the two most high-profile stars whose future at the Bridge still looks debatable as they both run into the final years of their contract.

Hudson-Odoi is currently on the sidelines due to injury after rupturing his Archilles tendon after a run of four Premier League starts in April.
