I rented 2000 People for Buhari’s Campaign – Governor Umahi [See Photos]
Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi has said that if not for his 2,000 people rented crowd, President Muhammadu Buhari would have met an empty stadium during his campaign visit to Ebonyi state.
President Buhari who is seeking re-election on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is friends with Governor Umahi of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Governor Umahi, while speaking on the 30th January campaign rally of the APC in Ebonyi, stated that even though himself and President Buhari belong to different political parties, they are in a “personal relationship”.
The presidential rally of the APC in the South East region wasn’t as well attended as that of Ebonyi State.
Although the outing in Ebonyi was impressive much more than what was gotten in other states in the South East, the governor of the state, Governor David Umahi had something to say.
He said, “The crowd you saw there at the stadium, 2,000 of them were from me because I know they have nobody.”
