President Muhammadu Buhari on Sundays says that the Acting Inspector-General, Mohammed Adamu is working hard to curtail insecurity in the country which has made him lose weight.
President Buhari who stated this after 10 days Private Visit to the United Kingdom hoped that Nigerians would allow him to settle down to do the work he was elected to do when asked on what kind of people expected to make up his cabinet and whether he would have and whether there would be an expanded cabinet.
His second term will commence on May 29, with an agenda he termed the ‘Next Level’, which according to him is to reinvigorate his three purposes, revamping the economy, fighting corruption and insecurity.
Speaking to the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) at the presidential Ving of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, Buhari, who declined to disclose whether he would have an extended cabinet in his second tenure that starts from May 29 wished Nigerians the best of luck as he returned from his trip.
In his response to the insinuation that he decided to travel out of the country to prepare the list of his cabinet for his second tenure, he said, “I didn’t discuss it with anybody so I don’t know how they got the information”.
On the plans to curtail insecurity ravaging the country, he said, “I have just seen the IGP (Inspector General of Police), he is losing weight so I think he is working hard”.
Some part of Nigeria has been witnessing security breaches, especially banditry and kidnapping.
Abuja-Kaduna road has been a major concern for the people as kidnappers even rob and abduct on broad daylight unhindered.
