– He accused INEC of conspiring with the PDP to rig the election in favour of Governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha
The Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC, Hope Uzodinma in Imo State in a statement today at the state capital, Owerri has disclosed that he would seek redress in the court of law over the outcome of the 2019 Governorship Election which took place in the state on the 9th of March.
He disclosed that he would remain resilient in the course of seeking justice.
Uzodinma in his statement alleged that there was some form of injustice in the electoral results that produced the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Emeka Ihedioha as the winner of the election.
The APC Governorship candidate in his statement alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC had conspired with the PDP to rig the election as he stressed that the electoral process was marred by irregularities.
Hope Uzodinma in his statement said, “Those who were manipulating argued that it will be suspicious if the APC candidate that they knew clearly will win this election is not even second position.
“They claimed that they have to fix my name in the list to disallow me from going to court. I have heard all that, but injustice done to one man is injustice done to all of us. I will leave no stone unturned.
“We are going to challenge the result. We will be very resilient. We will address it and God willing, justice will be done.”
Hope Uzodinma in a statement also denied the claim that he had congratulated the Governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha.
