Justice Yahaya Dantijo, who led a three-member panel of the court, in a unanimous decision nullified Melaye’s victory and ordered for reelection.

In his ruling, Justice Dantijo asked INEC, to withdraw the certificate of return given to Melaye and conduct a fresh election within the time frame of the law.

Reacting to the judgement, Haruna who said the electoral umpire will take into consideration the 90 days stipulated by the law added that their position will be made now quickly.
