JUST IN: Arsenal in possible move for James Rodriguez?

The Bayern Munich star is reportedly linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Liverpool amongst clubs rumored to be interested in the Colombian. It is however Arsenal who have claimed front pole in the race for Rodiguez. Don Balon reports that Real Madrid have accepted a bid from the Gunners in the region of £63m for the 2014 world cup star. This follows claims that Unai Emery will be looking to bolster midfield options. Not to mention that Denis Suarez has also been linked with a move to the Emirates.

The attacking midfielder is currently on his second year loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid and has remained unused since November. Indeed, James Rodriguez has only made 11 outings in all competitions for Bayen Munich this term. Even so, Real Madrid will be willing to release him for a good fee.

Davide Zappacosta at the Stadio Olympico?

According to SkysportsLazio has shown their interest in the Chelsea defender. They have also followed up their interest by offering £13m for the former Torino player. Zappacosta has felt a little estranged under Maurizzio Sarri as he has hardly featured in any match this season. The Italy International has featured only 10 times in all competitions this term with only 10 minutes of play in the Premier League.

Mourinho rejects Benfica Managerial role

Despite the criticisms whilst at the helm of affairs at Manchester United, Benfica has contacted Mourinho for a possible move to the Lisbon-based club. Skysports has claimed however that the Portuguese is in no rush to make a return as manager. It claims that the 55-year old would prefer a managerial role in Madrid rather than a Benfica side. On the flip side, Madrid could also be preparing a move for the Portuguese. However, the Spanish giants haven’t tabled any official proposition. Nevertheless, the Portuguese side is keen on signing Mourinho and would stop at nothing to sign on the 2-time Champions league winner.
