Jay Z is officially the first rapper to become a billionaire, Forbes reveals.

— His ventures include Roc Nation, Art collection amongst other things.

African American rapper,  Shawn Carter (Jay Z) has been declared a billionaire by Forbes.

The magazine surveyed his empire spanning his record label, art collection, real estates, stakes in other companies amongst other things. All conservatively totals $1 billion.

It’s clear that Jay-Z has accumulated a fortune that conservatively totals $1 billion, making him one of only a handful of entertainers to become a billionaire—and the first hip-hop artiste to do so” Forbes says.

His ventures include:

Armand de Brignac: $310 million

Cash & investments: $220 million

Tidal: $100 million

D’Ussé: $100 million

Music catalog: $75 million

Roc Nation: $75 million

Art collection: $70 million

Real estate: $50 million

Jay-Z’s steadily growing kingdom is expansive, encompassing liquor, art, real estate (homes in Los Angeles, the Hamptons, Tribeca) and stakes in companies like Uber.” The magazine wrote.

Also, his wife, Beyonce is worth an estimated $355 million. No wonder they are called the power couple.
