Kaduna State Government imposes 24 hours curfew on Kajuru Local Government

– The Kaduna State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Kajuru Local Government

– This comes as a result of rumours of an imminent crisis in Kasuwan Magani community

– The Senate has summoned the IGP Muhammed Adamu over the killings in the Northern part of the country

A new report has made it known that the Kaduna State Government in a latest announcement has imposed a 24 hour curfew on Kajuru Local Government area of the state.

The report made it known that the curfew was imposed as a result of the growing rumours of an imminent fresh crisis in Kasuwan Magani community, which is one of the crisis-prone areas in the state.

According to a statement issued on behalf of the Kaduna state government via it spokesperson, Samuel Aruwan, he quoted the state Deputy Governor,  Bala Bantex as directing vigorous enforcement of the curfew and also appealing to the people in the affected area to comply and support peace efforts in the community.

This is not the first time Kajuru local government area will be in the news for conflict, it has been in the news in the last two years majorly due to the incessant conflicts that have claimed several lives and property worth millions of Naira.

In another news, the country’s highest lawmaking body, the Senate, during a plenary yesterday had summoned the Inspector General of Police IGP, Muhammed Adamu over the killings in the Northern part of the country.

Sen. Shehu Sanni raised the motion during the session yesterday.

The Northern part of the country have seen a high rate of killings from bandits of late which has seen Nigerians, as well as foreigners, lose their lives, there have been killings in Zamfara, Kaduna amongst others.
