Kane Sends Across Emotional Message To Pochettino

Harry Kane has sent a heartfelt message to his now-former manager, Mauricio Pochettino who was sacked last night.

The Argentine gaffer was relieved of his duties after about five and half years in North London, with his former target man leading the tributes.

Tottenham captain and England International, Kane led the chorus of fans of the North London club issuing an emotional farewell to the departed manager.

Pochettino who led Spurs to a remarkable run last term was sacked on Tuesday and replaced only few hours later by former Manchester United and Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho.

The Argentine boss masterminded a turnaround at the club during his five and a half years in charge, with that spell culminating in last season’s run to the Champions league final against Liverpool.

Kane had been Tottenham’s point man during Pochettino’s tenure in North London and he was keen to ensure he showered as much praise on the Argentine boss as he deserves.

His appreciation on Twitter read: “Gaffer. I’ll be forever thankful to you for helping me achieve my dreams. We’ve had some amazing moments in the last five and a half years that I will never forget.

“You were my manager but my friend as well and I thank you for that relationship. Good luck with your next chapter!”

Another player in Dele Alli also addressed Pochettino as his friend. Alli was given a chance by Pochettino to feature for the Lilywhites.

The England International said:

“I can’t thank this man enough. He’s taught me so much and I’m so grateful for everything he’s done for me. Good luck and hope to see you again my friend.”

Spurs decision to replace Pochettino with Mourinho hints a marked change in approach by the club, with the latter known to generally demand larger financial backing – for the transfer window – from his clubs’ owners.
