Kemi Adetiba To Receive Award At The Stanbic IBTC YLS

Award winning and sensational filmmaker cum music video/television director, Kemi Adetiba – lauded for her heroics in the making of the first installment of Wedding Party, King of Boys and new show, brotherhood – will once again be rewarded by Stanbic IBTC bank in the Stanbic IBTC Youth Leadership Series (YLS). The program will be held on the 1st of February.

Other outstanding Nigerians who will be rewarded alongside her include: Onyeka Akumah of Farmcrowdy, agriculturist and innovator; Abisoye Akinfolarin, programmer and software expert.

Recall that Kemi Adetiba revealed on her twitter page, the soon-to-be-released web docuseries on the lives of personalities like Fela Durotoye with a view to detailing the challenges they faced and they overcame them.

Stanbic IBTC, one of the leading banks in Nigeria, has said that the youth empowerment motivational talk series was organized in order to spur youths to involve in more entrepreneurial activities – through deeper engagement – with a view to building the next crop of leaders in Nigeria and all across the world.

Chief Executive, Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, Mr. Yinka Sanni has said that YLS is a platform to engage the youths of the country in an all but important sector of the economy needed for the running, development and growth into its future.

He further added that the institution was constantly looking for creative ways of expanding its scope and focusing majorly on the youth population who are generally seen as the future leaders. Sanni seeks to groom this section of the country’s demography in an entrepreneurship line and inadvertently promote the growth and development of the country’s economy.

The inaugural series dubbed ‘Against the odds’ featured Kechi Okwuchi – survivor of the Sosoliso plane crash who bagged a First Class from the University of Thomas Houston and was finalist at America’s got talent; Cobhams Asuquo – music producer born blind; and Feese – survivor of the UN building bomb blast in Abuja.
