The Presidential candidate of one of the third force party (Young Progressives Party YPP) Prof. Kingsley Moghalu has reacted to the postponement of the 2019 Presidential and National Assembly Election by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
Prof. Kingsley Moghalu in his statement described the postponement of the 2019 Election as the signpost of recycling of failure under the All Progressive Congress APC and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
He went on to urged Nigerians to remain calm and resolute to vote for a new kind of leadership.
In a statement personally signed by the former Deputy Gov. of CBN, he further described the postponement as unfortunate.
Prof. Kingsley Moghalu in his statement said the postponements are burdensome with the implications quite serious.
He noted that school children would will be affected with further disruptions to the school calendar and the economic activities will suffer further setbacks.
“And Nigerians who have travelled to various parts of the country to vote or monitor the elections that would have held today now face logistical nightmares,” Moghalu added.
He went on to say, “These postponements are further signposts of the incompetence of the APC administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and they represent the recycling of the failures of the past PDP governments. The general elections were also postponed in 2015 under the PDP government.
“Nevertheless, we urge fellow citizens to remain calm and resolved to vote-in a different kind of leadership come February 23, the new date INEC has announced for the elections originally scheduled to hold today.”
Prof. Wole Soyinka recently endorsed Kingsley Moghalu for President.
