- Natasha and the governor have not been on good terms.
The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi state, Natasha Akpoti on Monday alleged that Governor Yahaya Bello has ordered her assassination.
Recall that Natasha had called for the cancellation of Saturday poll where the governor is in the lead over several irregularities. The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Musa Wada has also said he is proceeding to the tribunal to contest the results released so far.
Natasha took to her Twitter to announce this on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, the collation of the governorship election has continued.
Election observers have also raised alarm at reports of widespread incidents of violence and intimidation, witnessed in Kogi.
According to Diplomatic Watch, there are reports of fatalities and people missing, including INEC staff.
“Our thoughts are with all victims and their families.
“We encourage all stakeholders, in particular, political leaders, to call for calm and we encourage security agencies to investigate thoroughly and bring perpetrators to justice.
“We are also concerned by evident vote-buying and credible reports of ballot box snatching in both Bayelsa and Kogi.”
