Lagos State Government: ‘there will be no longer closure of roads as earlier stated’

– The Lagos State Government has announced there will no longer be the closure of roads and routes as stated earlier

– The State Government urged Lagosians to go about their normal duties but should expect maximum security at the routes Pres. Buhari would use tomorrow.

A new report from the Lagos State Government today has revealed that there will no longer be closure of roads and routes which had been earlier announced by the Government.

In addition, the Lagos State Government urged the People of the state to go about their normal activities tomorrow.

The State Government had earlier made it known that some routes and roads will be closed tomorrow, Saturday owing to the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari for his APC Presidential Campaign in the state.

Lagos State Government via the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Ladi Lawanson disclosed that measures have been put in place to ensure free flow of traffic, however, the state government told Lagosians to expect maximum security around the routes the President will pass.

Following the apprehension that has greeted the scheduled visit of the President for APC presidential rally on Saturday, LASG has allayed fears of residents assuring that there would be no road closures as earlier announced
The State’s Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Ladi Lawanson said the earlier statement announcing diversion and road closure had been reviewed, adding that residents were free to go about their businesses. 
The Commissioner also said that adequate arrangement had been firmed up to ensure the free flow of traffic, but residents should expect tight security around the routes which the President is expected to pass through in the course of his visit and the venue of the rally.
