LASU Courses Cut off marks

In addition to releasing an official list of courses, the Lagos State University Management also provides information on the cut of mark for their admission each year. For instance, the 2018/2019 academic session admission exercise cut off mark was set at 190.
Therefore, candidates who scored at least 190 in their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) will proceed to take part in the Online Admission Screening Exercise of the institution. In addition to this, candidates must have chosen Lagos State University LASU as their first course of choice. Also, you must not be less than 16 years old.

More on LASU Cut off marks for all Courses

First, be advised that scoring 190 in your UTME is not a guarantee of admission into Lagos State University. In addition, you have to pass the post UTME screening and beat departmental cut off marks as well.
Also, certain course such as those in the Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical sciences and Engineering usually have a higher cut off than the rest. In addition, candidates should ensure that they have high grades in their O’level . As this will be very helpful in securing admission into LASU.
However, if you happen to score 190, ensure you prepare well for your Post UTME and score as high as you can .

Important note : Usually, it is advisable to choose LASU as your first choice university. Because candidates who choose LASU as second choice have little chance of securing admission into the institution .

LASU course and school Fees

The school fees for LASU has remained unchanged since 2017/2018 session. However the fees vary from courses to courses. Below is the LASU school fees for the 2018/2019 Academic Session

Faculty of Arts , Education and Social Sciences

The tuition fees for all courses under the faculty of arts, social sciences and education in LASU N113, 250 .
These include Music, Theatre arts. History, philosophy and English.
Also, there is Christian religious studies, Business education, Adult education and Geography

Education. In addition, there is Physical and health Education, Guidance and Counselling among others .
Also, in Social Science, you have Sociology, Psychology, Political Science. As well as Mass Communication and Insurance.

Faculty of Law, Science and Engineering

School fee for courses under the faculty of Law, Science and Engineering is N115,750.

Basic Medical and Clinical sciences

The school fees for courses under these faculties is N115,750. As these includes courses such as Biochemistry , Medicine and Dentistry.

LASU Acceptance Fee

Candidates who have been offered admission into LASU are expected to pay an acceptance fee of Twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00 only). As this will serve as a confirmation of admission offer acceptance.

LASU Course Registration

Candidates who successfully gained admission into LASU are expected to pay acceptance fee. As well as school fees. In addition, such candidates are expected to carry our course registration. As this is very important. Follow the steps below for guidelines on how to register courses for newly admitted LASU students .
a. First, log on to LASU official portal at www.lasu.edu.ng
b. Then, scroll down to ‘undergraduate’ section. And click on ‘Course Registration’.
c. After that, enter your matric number and surname to log in
d. Finally, go ahead to add your courses and complete your course registration.
