Latest – Acting IGP Orders The Disbandment of SARS With Immediate Effect

The inspector general of police, Mohammed Adamu, on Monday, ordered the immediate disbandment of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS).

Bashir Ahmaad, the media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, made it known to the general public in a tweet he shared on Monday and also at his inaugural conference with commissioners of police and other senior officers in Abuja today.

According to Bashir Ahmaad, he stated in a tweet which read:

“The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed A. Adamu has ordered the immediate disbandment of the Federal SARS, Special Investigation Panel and Special Tactical Squad” The details of this can be found @PoliceNG,”
