President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday reacted to the death of the former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Mamman Nasir, saying his death is ” not only a loss to the judiciary but also the country at large, because of his remarkable commitment to public service.”

Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, said President Buhari recalled that late Galadima of Katsina “belonged to a generation of Judges and Justices who perceived public office as an opportunity to offer selfless service to the country and its people.”

“Nasir and Judges of their golden age were more interested in leaving an untainted record of integrity than an accumulation of wealth overnight.

“When you look at Nasir’s modest lifestyle and his incredibly humble possessions, you would be disarmed at once by his honesty and patriotism,” Buhari said.

2. Single Mother Shares Experience On Why She Stabbed An Alfa To Death In Lagos. 

A 25-year old single mother identified as Gift Daniel, has explained and given in details why she stabbed an Islamic cleric identified as Alfa Taofeek Olumoro, aged 52, who allegedly attempted to rape her in Lagos state.

The suspect, Gift, gave an explanation that she stabbed the victim Alfa, Olumoro, several times on his chest so as to free herself and get away from him after he tricked her to his room to sleep with her.

Sources has it that the incident happened at No. 3 Bajulaye Street, Fadeyi area of Lagos where she went to visit her lover, simply identified as Onyebuchi, who lives in the same compound with the victim, Olumoro.

The single mother met with Alfa Olumoro because she learnt that the Alfa cures people of different ailments.

3. Nigerian Navy Apprehends Eight Suspects And Intercepts 501 Drums of Illegal Diesel In Akwa Ibom State. 

The Nigerian Navy, Forward Operating Base (FOB) Ibaka in Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom, has stated that it has nabbed eight suspects and seized 501 drums of illegal Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) worth about N35 million in Akwa Ibom state,

The Acting Commanding Officer identified as Captain Reginald Adoki, while parading the eight suspects in Mbo Local Government Area (LGA) last Monday, made it clear that the product in the boat contained illegal AGO.

Captain Adoki also stated that the suspected illegal bunkerers were caught based on intelligence report in the early hours of Friday, April 5.

4. Femi Fani-Kayode and Other Nigerians React To The Claim That Atiku is Not A citizen of Nigeria By Birth. 

Femi Fani-Kayode and other important dignitaries of the country have aired their opinions concerning the claim by the APC that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is not a citizen of Nigeria.

According to Reno Omokri, the claim could cause Cameroon to approach international court and lay claim of Adamawa State.

5. Man Fakes Police Arrest To Propose To Girlfriend In Delta State. 

In a video that recently surfaced online, a man was seen being dragged by a police man. He was struggling with the police man and our first reaction was #EndSARS.

However, he wasn’t dragged to a police van, he was dragged into a room where his girlfriend and other people were.

They all wore utter shock on their faces obviously afraid that he was in trouble. The Policeman then brought out a ring which he gave to the boyfriend who was already on his knees.

The boyfriend proposed! Apparently, it was a fake arrest and the whole plan was to propose.

This took place in Ughelli area in Delta state.

6. Nigeria Labour Congress Warns Federal Government Against Removal of Fuel Subsidy.

The Nigeria Labour Congress through its president Ayuba Wabba, warned the Federal Government against the removal of fuel subsidy.

Wabba said the solution to the problem of subsidy in the petroleum industry was local refining of products which will drive down cost and end the corruption associated with the present subsidy regime.

7. Pastor Arrested for Sodomizing a 16-Year-Old Boy Attempts to Molest Prisoner in His Cell. 

Arrested Pastor Chizemdere Ezuma, who was arrested for sodomizing and infecting a 16-year-old boy, Shedrack, with HIV has attempted to molest another prisoner in his cell.

According to reports, Pastor Ezuma attempted to molest a male prisoner who he was kept in the same cell with at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja.

iDONSABI.com gathered that the male prisoner whom Ezuma attempted to sodomize on Saturday night raised the alarm and threatened to beat him up.

The police report said the policemen on duty relocated Ezuma to another cell and kept an eye on him till the next morning.

8. Nigeria is Investing N15bn in Geoscience Data Bank, says Ministry of Mining. 

FG to invest N15 billion to upgrade geo-science data bank that will place the country in the world mining map.

According to the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, the project will provide job opportunities, and FastTrack economic diversification.

9. ‘Professor’ Apprehended During Jamb CBT for Alleged Malpractice. 

A man claiming to be a Professor named Jide Jisus, was arrested at the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) centre in Abuja on Friday.

The spokesman for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Fabian Benjamin, confirmed the arrest in statement forwarded to Channels Television on Friday.

It was reported Jisus was arrested over an allegation of examination malpractice by the monitoring team of the JAMB Registrar on Thursday at an institution in Jabi area of Abuja, the nation’s capital.

“His (the suspect) identity was shrouded in dubious tales. He claimed during interrogation that he was one of the professors selected by the Board to oversee the conduct of the 2019 UTME,” the statement read.

10. Henceforth I Will Charge Money to Go on a Date with Any Man – Toke Makinwa. 

Popular social media personality, Toke Makinwa has taken to her page to state that going on dates is expensive and she should be paid for going on dates.

Obviously, the Instagram queen had gone on a very boring date with a man whose identity she did not reveal.

However, she stated that she had spent so much money getting ready for the date only for the date to turn out back.

Toke Makinwa stated that henceforth, she will ask for money upfront from anyone who asks her on a date.

11. Ikechukwu Issues Warnings To SARS Officers. 

The hashtag #EndSARS started trending this year after a young man named Kolade Johnson was shot by SARS. It was said that the suspected officers who shot him have been arrested and Nigerians hoped it would be the end of the EndSARS movement.

However another video surfaced online of a SARS officer beating a young man because he reportedly refused to unlock his phone for them.

This provoked the Nigerian Musician, Ikechukwu who took to his Instagram to rant about the men in uniform who bully citizens instead of protecting them.

He also said he prays he never encounters anyone of them because he will disarm him and shoot him.
