1. Siege on Dino’s House Continues until He Surrenders – Police

Following Senator Dino Melaye’s announcement that he was a Senator and not a criminal that would run away, the Nigeria Police Force has said that its operatives laying siege on Senator Dino Melaye’s residence will not leave until the Senator surrenders himself for arrest and investigation.

The Police announced this in a statement on Sunday night adding that Senator Dino Melaye is wanted by the Police for a case of Criminal Conspiracy and Attempted Culpable Homicide.

2. Buhari Has History of Flying Looted Funds into the Country – Atiku

Presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has revealed how APC President Buhari has a history of flying in looted funds into the country.

The former Vice President revealed this while reacting to an earlier accusation credited to President Buhari accusing him of plotting to ferry in looted funds into the country in preparations for rigging the elections ahead of 2019.

Atiku revealed that in 1984 when Buharis was Military Head of State, it was he, Atiku Abubakar, as Custom head in charge of  Murtala Mohammed International Airport who brought the public in the know of how Buhari through his ADC smuggled 53 suitcases of looted money into the country.

3. APC Governorship Candidate, Dapo Abiodun Denies having OAU Degree

APC Governorship candidate in Ogun State, Mr. Dapo Abiodun, has reacted to the certificate scandal surrounding his campaign. He insists the whole matter is a smear campaign against him.

In his own words, “I never claimed to have gotten a degree from the University of Ife,” he insisted when asked about the matter.

He, however, said he studied at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), but he didn’t graduate from there. When asked about some profiles of him that says he had a B.A in Accounting, he thundered, “But that is not from Ife”.

4. ISSA’ Report Vindicates Us – PDP

PDP, yesterday, said the report by International Strategic Studies Association, ISSA, on corruption in the nation’s military has vindicated the Party’s stance that the President Buhari’s administration war against corruption was a charade.

US based ISSA, had announced that massive corruption among the top ranking of the Nigerian Military as regarding Procurement of Arms and Ammunition is responsible for the inability of Nigerian troops to defeat Boko Haram since.

5. Niger-Delta Militants End Ceasefire Agreement with FG, PANDEF

Niger Delta Creek Warriors, a coalition of agitators in Niger Delta region, has called off its ceasefire with the Federal Government and Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, over alleged failure of Federal Government to meet their demands.

They announced that they have given the Federal Government seven days ultimatum to address their demands immediately as they cannot continue to be continuously deceived.

The list of their demands included that Shell Petroleum Development Company should go offshore, Bakassi Community should be resettled, a cleanup of the entire N-Delta region initiated, among other demands.

6. Need for Independent Verification on Missing Soldiers – Ezekwesili

Following unconfirmed reports that over 2,000 Nigerian soldiers are missing, the presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, has expressed concern over the report of another missing 70 Nigerian soldiers who were said to be killed in Baga Town by Boko Haram terrorists.

Dr. Ezekwesili said in her statement today being Monday that although the Presidency and the Military had denied these reports, there was need for an independent investigation.

7. Nollywood Cossy Wants to be a Baby Mama in 2019

Twitter Famous Nollywood actress, Cossy Orjiakor has revealed that her goal for 2019 is to be a housewife or baby mama with little workload and lots of shopping.

She made revealed this on her Instagram handle on Sunday.

8. Made in Ikeja Games App to be Launched in Lagos Schools

The made in Ikeja Games App developed by 16 pupils at the Software Shop Pty Ltd in Ikeja, Lagos will be introduced in schools in the coming term.

Mr Joseph Etim, Computer Village Hub Manager, said that it would be introduced in schools to promote coding and computer programming among pupils.

He made this known in an interview in Lagos today.

9. Oba of Benin Sounds Serious Warning on Money Rituals

The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has warned the youth of Benin to shun money rituals.

He gave the warning, on Sunday, during a thanksgiving service at the Holy Aruosa Cathedral in Benin, Edo State.

According to him, youths who cling to the illusion that they could become wealthy by killing people or stealing female underwear for ritual purposes would face the consequence when caught.

10 Over 50 Corpses Burnt as Fire Guts Anambra Mortuary

Over 50 corpses deposited in the Enugwu Ukwu’s General Hospital Mortuary in Njikoka LGA of Anambra State burnt beyond recognition on Saturday following a fire incident.

The mystery fire was said to have started at about 5:41pm.

The state police command’s spokesperson, SP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident and said the cause of the fire was yet unknown, but that the case was under investigation to ascertain the circumstances of the fire.
