The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal has dismissed the suit seeking to stop President Muhammadu Buhari’s inauguration on May 29.

The suit filed by the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) and its Presidential Candidate, Mr Ambrose Aworu, who wanted all cases challenging his reelection are addressed was dismissed by Justice Joseph Ikyechi for lacking merit.

Governors elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on security matters due to the worsening situation in the country.
