 Buhari Commissions Amosu’s ‘Legacy Project’ in Ogun State

President Muhammadu Buhari was in Ogun to commission some projects carried out by the outgoing administration of Governor Ibikunle Amosu.

Some governors that were with the president during the ceremony were governor Amosun, some Governors from the South West which include Gov Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos, Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Rotimi Akeredolu from Ondo.

CCB Gives Buhari, Osinbajo Till May 28 to Submit Asset Declaration Forms

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and governors and other public officers have been given till May 28 by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to submit their end-of-tenure asset declaration forms.

The CCB’s Chief Press Officer, Charity Utok, who disclosed this said the deadline became necessary as their tenure (first or second) in office ends on May 29.

Politicians Are Driven Largely By Greed And Self-love – Pat Utomi

A renowned economist and political analyst, Professor Pat Utomi has lambasted the attitude of Nigerian politicians saying that this has made the idea of revolution to “break the current trap so much more attractive.”

Pat Utomi, ho pointed that there are some people whom he described as ‘criminals’ who seize power through the hijacking of political parties, said he has tried to become comfortable with those who dominate power without allowing me to be sucked into their ways.

PAPAC Speaks on Success Recorded in Assets Recovery

The presidency has explained why the Federal Government released some seized items to their owners.

The Executive Secretary of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Prof Sadiq Radda, who gave President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration a pass mark on the recovery of assets from “corrupt individuals” said PACAC has been able to achieve some successes which recovering money, buildings, hotels, planes, and many others, “including snakes and lions that eat one ram daily.”

People Think Am Asking for Resource Control for Succession Sake – Attah

Former Akwa Ibom governor, Victor Attah has said that he was accused of starting militancy in the Niger Delta simply because he agitated for resource control.

Attah, who recalled how the Nigerian president then had shouted and pointed accusing finger at him during a political function in Port Harcourt that he was the cause of militancy in the region pointed  that people tried to stop his agitation for resource control because then they had suspected he was planning a secession, which he described a grievous thing to charge anybody with.

Fayemi and Bagudu are Men with Proven Records and Experience – Ambode

Lagos Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has congratulated Governor Kayode Fayemi and Atiku Bagudu over their emergence as the new chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum NGF and Progressive Governors Forum PGF respectively.

Ambode, who said the emergence of the duo is well deserved added that it is not only a positive sign for the party but also a good omen for the country.

Omokri reacts to Ezekwesili’s statement on quality of tertiary education

A former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has said that education doesn’t have to be expensive to be qualitative.

Reacting Oby Ezekwesili’s statement that the reason behind the low quality of tertiary education in the country is a result of the low cost of Education, Omokri said Government funding has more to do with quality education than fees.
