Osun State University was established in the year 2006 as the thirtieth state university in Nigeria and the eightieth university in the country. It is located in Osogbo, Osun state and popularly referred to as UNIOSUN.

Prospective students who meet the cut off mark of UNIOSUN qualify for the university screening and may be offered admission. Therefore the minimum UTME cut off mark for UNIOSUN is 160.
