Lebanese Engineer Sagir Ahmed Confirmed Dead In Kano State

Sagir Ahmed identified as one Lebanese engineer who was kidnapped in Kano State, has been found dead in the state.

According to reports, Sagir Ahmed was abducted by unknown gunmen while inspecting an underpass bridge at Dangi roundabout, Zoo Road, in Kano on Tuesday.

A further report has it that his driver was killed, while he was kidnapped afterwards.

Meanwhile, the Police in Kano State, has confirmed his death to the public. The late engineer, Sagir Ahmed, was known to be an official of Triacta Construction Company.

Abdullahi Haruna identified as the spokesman of the Kano State Police Command, stated that he was found dead along Maiduguri road on the evening of Thursday.

Haruna also added that Ahmed’s body was discovered at a bush in Yansango Village in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano state.

Furthermore, Ahmed was then confirmed to have died at the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital after discovery by villagers who contacted the Police.

Meanwhile, an autopsy will be conducted to determine how he died.

The Police are yet to detect the reason why the kidnappers killed him as they did not request for a ransom.

The Kano State Police has publicly come out to state that investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
