“Legalize Polygamy So That Men Can Elevate Sidechics To Wives” – John Dumelo
Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo calls for the legalization of polygamy and polyandry.
According to the actor, many married men’s sidechics need to be elevated to the wifey status because they perform the same duties as a wife.
The actor who got married in May also stated that women should be allowed to marry more than one man too.
He wrote;
“Under customary laws and Mohammedans laws Cap 129. A man can marry more than one woman. Under the marriage ordinance Cap 127, a man is allowed to marry only one woman. If he marries more than one, he commits bigamy. I think it’s time for that to be repealed.
“After all, most married men have side chicks and it’s time to elevate them to wifey status because they perform the same duties. In the same vein, polyandry should also be legalized. Women should be allowed to marry more than one man.”
