Leroy Sane Calms Nerves | Says Injury Sustained Is Not A Serious One

Leroy Sane has confirmed that he sustained no serious injuries despite being caught by an X-rated tackle in Germany’s Wednesday friendly with Serbia.

The 23-yr-old required lengthy treatment before eventually limping off the pitch after being hit in some region above his ankle in injury time of the 1-all draw in Wolfsburg.

In his words, he said: “It was a vicious foul. Sane was lucky and got away with not getting hurt but such fouls can break bones.”

Concerning his team’s performance in the game, Low had this to say:

“It was a shame to go behind from a set-piece. You could tell that we hadn’t quite adjusted to a team of defending so deeply. We were lacking a bit of chemistry.”

Goretzka who scored the equalizer thought that it was a game Germany could easily have won when he said:

“A draw isn’t enough. When you look at how many chances and how much possession we had, we have to win that game.

“We struggled to break through in the final third during the first half but were much better in the second.”
