Light In The Dark Set For Big Screens – 25th January

Light in the dark is a movie touching on crisis prevalent in inter-tribal marriages. It speaks aggressively against domestic violence and its what nots. Rita Dominic will play lead role alongside Kalu Ikeagwu. The drama was written by Babatunde Ojo, directed by Ekene Som Mekwunye and produced by Chidinma Uzodike and Mekwunye.

The movie addresses women on how to act in cases of domestic violence in their marriages with Joke Silva, Ngozi Nwosu, Doddy Abilli, Marie Awolaja, Saidi Balogun, Big Mickey, Maxwell Ihuoma, Richard Kanayo Mekwunye, Nonso Odogwu, Kiki Omeilli, Angel Onyinyechi, Prince Unigwe and Abimbola Ademoye as the other Nollywood personalities featuring in the drama.

Although, the drama may seem to look at it from the men’s perspective, it educates the women on the right decisions to take and centers on inter-tribal marriages.

Women are taught not to suffer in silence but speak out. They are taught not to stay under bondage just because of ‘love’.

The makers of the film hope that it will shed more light on a prevalent issue in many African homes. Hence, afford many African women a glimmer of hope on the way out.

Rita Dominic shared a snippet of the trailer on her Twitter account @ritaUdominic. The enlightening drama will be released for cinema viewing on the 25th of January, 2019.

A recent post from Rita asks would-be actors and aspiring ones alike to send in monologues of her lines in a clip she posted. The sent monologues would be sent to an advertising company, evaluated and chosen for a possible partnership with the sender sometime in the nearest future.

The actress later posted some of the video clips she received with the caption:

“I will be posting a few of the monologues we have seen so far. It doesn’t mean they won the competition so please don’t start sending me DMs”

She requested comments and criticisms from her followers concerning the sent clips. The sexy diva implored the aspiring actors to take constructive criticisms well and use it to their advantage.
