Liverpool Vs Burnley EPL 10 March Preview

Liverpool continue their chase on current Premier League Leaders, Manchester City when they take on Burnley at the Anfield Stadium. Manchester City who will play first have the chance to go four points clear off Liverpool.

Liverpool

The Reds know that this game is a must win for them if they are going to ever lay their hands on the Premier League title come season’s end.

Their form has been somewhat colourful with a 5-0 thumping of Watford but this win is sandwiched between goalless draws against bitter rivals, Manchester United and Everton.

They have been solid at the back but their attack has lost that clinical finish Klopp’s ‘Gegenpressing’ is known for. Salah has managed just one goal in their last six games with frustrating draws still ringing in their ears.

Liverpool have a few wrinkles to iron out and with games against Chelsea and Tottenham still upcoming, this is a must win game for them.

Burnley

The Clarets are known to be a bogey team and are usually organized at the back against what is now referred as the ‘Big Six’ in England’s top flight.

They are known for their physicality and tactical discipline under the tutelage of Sean Dyche.

That said, they sit 16th place on the log and are only five points off the drop zone. A resurgence of striker, Ashey Barnes and a January transfer of Peter Crouch seem like the best they can offer in attack.

However, that might just be enough to pull off an upset against second-placed Liverpool having previously held Manchester United to a 2-2 draw and beating Liverpool at home.
