Akko Local Government Area in Gombe state has its headquarters in the town of Kumo. This Local Government Area is occupied by lots of different tribes and is the host Local Government Area of the largest commercial city in Gombe state apart from Gombe city.
Akko Local Government Area has a landmass of 2,627km² and has Umar Muhammed Atiku as its Emir.

Billiri is both a town and Local Government Area in Gombe. It has its headquarters in Billiri town and an area of 737km². This Local Government Area is not one of the biggest in Gombe state and had a population of 2022,144 in 2006.

Dukku Local Government Area has its headquarters in Dukku town. It is occupied majorly by the Fulani people and came into existence in the 17th century as a city prior to becoming an LGA in Gombe state. With an area of 3,815km², this LGA is one of the biggest in Gombe state.
