Man Utd Could Complete Ighalo Signing Before Close Of Transfer Window

Manchester United have reignited their interest in Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo as they look to sign the striker just before the close of the transfer window.

Ighalo who currently plays for Shanghai Shenhua could soon be adorning a Manchester United shirt should the deal go through.

The Red devils interest in Bournemouth’s King have reportedly been rebuffed while Norwich City also look to have turned down an offer for Teemu Pukki.

Ighalo has been linked to Old Trafford for the most parts of January with the forward identified United’s top target in the final third.

The 30-year-old isn’t new to the Premier League having turned out for Watford in the past, where he netted 16 goals.

This term, Ighalo has already found the net 10 times in 19 league appearances for Chinese Super League outfit, Shanghai Shenhua. The Nigerian striker has also at different times represented Laliga club, Granada and Italian outfit, Udinese during what has turned out to be a well-traveled career.

Manchester United are desperate to land a striker with Rashford out due to injury for a lengthy period. They identify the striker as a temporary replacement having had their approach for King and Pukki rebuffed and are reportedly considering a loan move for him.

The former Watford forward is reportedly keen to move to the Premier League and would no doubt welcome a move to Manchester United.

The 30-year-old left Watford for China in 2017, completing a move to Changchun Yatai before turning a corner and moving on to Shanghai Shenhua.

Can Manchester United complete a move for Odion Ighalo before the close of the transfer window?
