Manchester City Vs Chelsea EPL 10 February Preview

Manchester City have clawed their way back into the Premier League’s title fight and will be hopeful that they come out of this tie with a win so as to take top spot back from Liverpool who won their match against Tottenham

Chelsea on the other hand will be seeking to remain fourth-placed having lost the spot to Manchester United

Manchester City

The Citizens have recovered from a precarious position that saw them seven-points off league leaders, Liverpool. They have come out fantastic and even recorded a convincing 3-0 win over North London club, Arsenal.

Guardiola has described this encounter as a final considering how important it is for the Champions not to drop any more points if they are to claim the title on the bounce.’

Having said that, they lost out 2-0 in their last fixture against the London Blue and Pep Guardiola and his men will be avoiding a repeat of that.

Chelsea

Chelsea strolled past Huddersfield with a 5-0 win. Although, it could be said that it is to be expected for a team playing the worst side in the league.

What is however impressive is the link-up play between Eden Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain, an important link that would have to function against Manchester City if they expect to get a win.

Worringly for them is that they haven’t scored a league away goal in the year 2019 having blanked in three such games.

That said, Chelsea are aware that any slip-ups could see them lose out on Champions League football next season, a situation they will be willing to avoid.
