Manchester City Vs Leicester City EPL 06 May Preview

Manchester City will be looking to reclaim top spot in the Premier League standings when they take on Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium. The Reds went top of the standings with a late winner over Newcastle United ensuring that the battle for the Premier League crown goes down to the wire.

Manchester City

The Citizens have not dropped points since they last did at the St. James Park on 29 January but would have to wait till the last day to lay their hands on the title, no thanks to title contenders, Liverpool who are only one point behind them.

They are just six points away from retaining their crown and could become the first Premier League side to do that in a decade.

Their quadruple dreams are over having lost a place in the Champions League semis to Tottenham but the league crown still looks very much in sight and anything short of a domestic treble with Manchester City in the finals of the FA Cup will be seen as a disappointing season for manager, Pep Guardiola.

Leicester City

Leicester have now made a name for themselves against the top six teams ripping off points from them with Arsenal the latest victim. Vardy powered the Foxes to a 3-0 dismantling of Arsenal at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester are in a battle for seventh place with Wolverhampton Wanderers but have their remaining games against big six oppositions in Manchester City and Chelsea and would be hoping that Wolves do not get any points from their last match day against Liverpool.

The seventh-placed club come season end will get a chance to play in the Europa League qualifying rounds if Manchester City win their FA Cup final game against Watford.

Leicester defeated Manchester City with a 2-1 scoreline in the reverse fixture and will be aiming for a repeat of that win.
