Manchester City Vs West Ham EPL 27 February Preview

Manchester City will be locking horns with West Ham at the Etihad stadium barely just two days after clinching the EFL Cup title.

The Citizens will now shift focus to the league after claiming the title and still remain favourites to win the league despite being one-point below Liverpool.

Manchester City

One leg of a possible quadruple has been completed making the daunting task look all the more achievable for the Citizens.

Although, it could be argued that the Citizens will have to suffer a long list of injuries if they are to achieve that. Winning the EFL Cup alone has brought injuries to Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho and the team’s roster is looking depleted day by day.

That said, save for the slip-ups they suffered in December, Manchester City are simply unplayable at the moment and just annihilated Chelsea by 6 goals to nothing before defeating them once again at the EFL finals.

West Ham are definitely not the likeliest of clubs to cause an upset for City at the moment.

West Ham

The Hammers are only seven points away from seventh place on the log and a return of Manuel Lanzini looks very good for them at the moment.

Manuel Pellegrini will have his eyes up the table rather than down with the possibility of playing in Europe come next season staring at them in the face.

Victory over Fulham was their first win in five games across all competitions. It is also important to realize they had to stage a comeback after falling behind to a goal by Babel.

Recording a win at the Etihad would be a tall order but they will be hoping that they can spring some surprises.
