Manchester United In New Low After Another Disappointing Loss

Frankly speaking, it’s become more of a routine for lower-ranked teams like Burnley to take out Manchester United these days. But to do so at Old Trafford? That was the first time the Clarets would do so on that ground since 1962.

It’s gone from bad to worse for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his men but it’s the board and vice-president, Ed Woodward who keep taking the hit from fans and the social media.

However, this time, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would feel the heat as well. Burnley looked on course for victory from the sound of the whistle.

The Clarets deserve some praise for what they did as well. Many clubs would have admitted defeats before playing the likes of Leicester City and Manchester United. However, Sean Dyche’s men got maximum points against both clubs and now seem to be in the form of their lives.

Manchester United were terrible to say the least, and look to be piling up exceptionally terrible results. The atmosphere at Old Trafford was so gloomy that the ground was barely full by the time the final whistle sounded.

Most of the Red devils’ fans booed their players during the interval, a huge signal that they were discontented with the abysmal display they’ve been forced to watch in recent times.

With the #OleOut and #sackwoodward hashtags scattered all over Twitter, there’s no gain saying that many fans would have saved themselves the pain of watching these excruciatingly painful games if they had not paid their season tickets in full.

Manchester United have lost the duo of Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young to Inter Milan in permanent transfers and Alexis Sanchez and Smalling to Inter Milan and Roma respectively on loan without making due replacements.

Solskjaer would be receiving the stick from fans for backing the board who have failed to nail signings like Bruno Fernandes even after prolonged transfer negotiations.

They have now lost their chance to close the gap between themselves and the top-four and are now in danger of not qualifying for the Champions League yet again.
