Manchester United Vs Southampton EPL 02 March Preview

Manchester United will be aiming to continue their unbeaten run in the Premier League under the tutelage of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when they host Southampton at Old Trafford this weekend. The Red devils are right in the mix of things for a top-four finish.

Manchester United

Speaking back in December, Jose Mourinho said Manchester United will be needing a ‘minor miracle’ to finish in the top four come season’s end and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might just be that miracle he was talking about.

The Red devils have been incredible in the league under the management of Ole Gunnar claiming 29 points out of a possible 33 in the process. Talking about their progress so far was that they were able to earn a draw against Liverpool even with fielding eight players who are not originally a part of the Starting XI.

They also claimed a well-deserved 3-1 win last time out and are the clear favourites to record a win against The Saints.

Southampton

Ralph Hasenhuttl has brought a new feel to the Saints since his arrival. The ‘Alpine Klopp’ led the Saints to record a 2-1 win over relegation-threatened Fulham to record their fifth win in last fifteen in all competitions.

Bookmakers would be willing to give the Saints a fighting chance considering that they defeat Arsenal 3-2 and held Chelsea to a goalless draw.

That said, defeating Manchester United away from home would always be seen as a Herculean task but they will be willing to give it all it takes.
