Many People Feared Dead As Tanker Explodes Close To The Lodge of The Anambra State Governor
On Saturday night, February 9th, a tanker fully loaded with petrol exploded near the lodge of the Anambra State Governor at Amawbia junction in Anambra State.
The petrol tanker was reported to have skidded off the road due to some circumstances.
Then the Tanker was reported to have fallen down and burst into flames and as the fire raged on, there were speculations that some persons may have been burnt beyond recognition during the fire incident.
The exact number of persons affected by the fire which killed many people around Amawbia junction where the Anambra State Governor lodges in has not been confirmed as officials of the Fire Service are currently trying to put out the fire, just as efforts are on to secure the area.
In addition, Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has since visited the scene of the fire to personally ascertain the extent of damage done by the fire around the place in which he lodges in.

While surveying the scene and checking out the nature of the burns during the fire, the Governor, Willie Obiano, promised the people who sustained various degrees of burns and injuries in the incident that the government would pay in full their hospital bills in order to save them the issue of going to look for money to pay the hospitals.
This incident is surely a terrible one to experience anywhere and it will only take the grace of God for the surviving victims of the fire incident to ever remain the same and normal once more.
