Zamfara Governor, Bello Matawalle has reacted to the resignation of the state’s commissioner of Education, Jamilu Zannah, the State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Bilyaminu Shinkafi and the Governor’s Special Adviser on Comprehensive Agricultural Revolution Programme, Sambo Marafa.
Speaking on the reason tendered by Zannah to resign, the governor described as unfortunate and said he was planning to score a cheap political goal.
Matawalle, who is currently on a foreign trip reacted through his Special Adviser on Media, Zailani Bappa.
The governor said he could not understand why “someone who claims closeness to His Excellency will resort to this unwholesome antic which is clearly a ploy to achieve a cheap and personal political goal.”
He, therefore, dismissed the reasons for the resignation as paltry, shallow and a political joke.
Matawalle, however, wished Zannah all the best in his future endeavors.
According to reports, Shinkafi left the state executive council to take up an appointment as a member of the National Assembly Commission, while Marafa, a younger brother of the former lawmaker representing Zamfara Central, Kabir Marafa, went back to focus on his private business.
