May A Day Not Come That Supreme Court Will Rely On ‘Eminently’ Qualified Doctor to Perform Surgery – Reno Omokri
Reno Omokri, a former media aide to former president Goodluck, has slammed the Supreme Court over the explanation given on the eligibility of President Muhammadu Buhari to contest the 2019 presidential election.
The apex court had ruled that Buhari possessed the requisite educational qualification to contest the poll.
Citing the constitution, the court held that what is only required for a candidate contesting the presidential election is secondary education even when the candidate does not possess the certificate.

Reacting to the judgment via a series of tweet, Omokri, a staunch critic said: “May a day not come when the Supreme Court Justices who ruled that General @MBuhari is ‘eminently qualified’ have to rely on a doctor who is ‘eminently qualified’ by affidavit to perform emergency surgery on them. That sort of justice would be too poetically painful.”
