Meghan Travels to Canada, Leaves Harry to Deal With Fall Out from Abdication Crisis

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan has travelled to Canada, leaving Prince Harry to deal with the fallout over their ‘abdication’ crisis.

The Daily Mail reports that Meghan returned to North America, where their eight-month-old son, Archie, had been with his nanny.

According to sources, she may stay there for the foreseeable future as she ‘hadn’t planned’ to remain in the UK she returned to four days ago, for long, after arriving back in Britain on Monday at the end of the family’s seven-week hiatus from royal duties in Vancouver.

Meanwhile, the Queen had yesternight ordered her warring family to work out a solution that will allow her grandson and his wife to quit frontline royal duties. She convened an extraordinary series of calls between herself, the Prince of Wales, Prince William and Harry and told them to come up with a ‘workable solution’ to the crisis within days.

It was also gathered that the monarch tasked aides to present a series of options for the unhappy couple.

According to Royal insiders, 35-year-old Harry and Meghan would be allowed to keep their royal titles and also enjoy a measure of the independence they have demanded.

With the couple’s string of demands, there is a genuine crisis which will not be easy to solve. Home Secretary, Priti Patel has been asked to take part in the negotiations. This shows how serious and sensitive the issue has become.

The Royal Family are not planning to strip Harry and Meghan of their titles. It is feared that it would look vengeful and reminiscent of the treatment meted out to Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.

It could be recalled that the couple on Wednesday released a statement detailing the plans to split their time between the UK and North America, while also giving up their share of the Sovereign Grant.
