Messi Reportedly Offers To Bail Ronaldinho Out Of Prison With €4million

According to multiple reports, Lionel Messi is hitting lawyers to help Barcelona and Brazilian legend, Ronaldinho Gaucho out of prison.

Consequently, the six-time Balon D’Or winner might have to part ways with €4million to get his idol out of jail.

Ronaldinho has been in jail for sometime after he allegedly got into Paraguay on the back of a fake passport. According to a report by Teamtalk, Messi is in talks with several lawyers on the possibility if fetching a bail for his former teammate

To get his former teammate out of prison, Messi would have to pay a huge sum of €4million. Both players formed a good bond at the Camp Nou while Messi was still coming up through the ranks at the Catalan capital.

After some rounds of investigation, the Paraguayan government has allegedly found Ronaldinho guilty of some sort of forgery and sentenced him to six months imprisonment. The Brazilian side alongside his brother were charged for possession of a fake passport.

The pair denied the allegations though stating that they were deceived with the passport which they claim was given to them by a Paraguayan citizen.

“The courts have not taken into account the fact that Ronaldinho didn’t know he was committing a crime, because he didn’t understand he had been given false documents. He is stupid.” read a section of a Brazilian newspaper.

Pending the results of an investigation, the former Barcelona player has been reprimanded in prison. Dingo and his brother were ushered into a court after they were arrested at the Sheraton Hotel in Asuncion where they had lodged.

The Brazilian President is reportedly also interested im the case and has called on the Paraguayan government to release Dinho.
